[tweetmeme]Post-punk legends Gang of Four return next month with their eighth album and first without founding vocalist Jon King, an 11-song collection that features new frontman John “Gaoler” Sterry plus guest vocalists Alison Mosshart of The Kills, Gail Ann Dorsey, Robbie Furze of the Big Pink , Japanese guitar hero Hotei, and German musician/actor Herbert Grönemeyer.
The album, What Happens Next, is due out Feb. 24 in North American and March 2 in Europe, and is written and produced by Andy Gill, the band’s sole original member.
The band already has previewed both tracks sung by Mossheart: “England’s In My Bones” and “Broken Talk,” the latter of which first was released in a Sterry-sung version in 2013. Stream both tracks below.
