[tweetmeme]Hüsker Dü’s posthumous live album — The Living End, recorded at various venues in October 1987 but not released until 1994 — will receive its first-ever vinyl release later this month in the form of a 180-gram audiophile pressing by the Music on Vinyl label.
The 24-song album is heavy on the band’s then-current record, Warehouse: Songs and Stories, but spans the Hüskers’ entire career, and even closes with a cover of the Ramones’ “Sheena is Punk Rocker.”
The first 1,000 numbered copies of the 2LP set will be pressed on “mystery coloured vinyl.”
The reissue is due out Jan. 19.
