[tweetmeme]After helming 2014 albums by Echo & The Bunnymen and Peter Murphy, Killing Joke bassist Martin “Youth” Glover next turns his attention to Spiritualized, having been tapped by that band’s Jason Pierce to produce the follow-up to 2012′s Sweet Heart Sweet Light.
Both Spiritualized and Killing Joke have confirmed the news on their Facebook pages, with KJ this morning announcing: “Very pleased to announce that Youth will be in the producer seat for the new Spiritualized record. Jason Spaceman has started recording in London at Youth’s studio and will complete the recordings in Spain.”
Killing Joke also is at work on a new album, having announced in December that, “Our new studio album and our third for Spinefarm/Universal is proceeding at pace.”
