[tweetmeme]After canceling one concert and postponing another, Morrissey resumed his U.S. tour this past Saturday in Boston — but it was a short-lived return to the road. The next two dates on Moz’s itinerary, concerts planned for Tuesday night in Baltimore and Wednesday in Washington, D.C., have now been postponed until late June, according to promoters.
According to the Facebook page of the 9:30 Club, the two concerts have been postponed until June 24 and 25 “at the advice of Morrissey’s medical team.” It’s not clear whether further postponements are in the cards; as of now, Morrissey’s tour will resume Friday night in Chicago.
See the new dates below.
Last week, Morrissey canceled his Atlanta concert — the fourth time he’s done that there since 2012 — and rescheduled an Atlantic City concert after promoters said, “Morrissey and the touring crew have come down with a virus.” No reason has been given for the lack of a new Atlanta date.
The new cancellations follow Morrissey’s disastrous attempts to tour both North and South America last year, which resulted repeated reschedulings and cancellations.
