[tweetmeme]Peter Murphy will return to the road for a late spring/early summer U.S. tour in support of his forthcoming 10th album Lion, and, while he has yet to formally announce the itinerary, dates have begun popping up in New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Austin, Texas, and even Omaha, Neb.
Below, we’ve rounded up the dates we’ve so far been able to confirm through venue or ticketing websites; the list surely will expand, as it spans May 22 to July 5 at the moment. Watch for updates.
Murphy has yet to announce a release date for Lion, an 11-track collection produced by Killing Joke bassist Youth, but Amazon.co.uk is taking pre-orders for the digital version that it shows as being released June 2. The album will be preceded by a limited-edition metallic-silver 7-inch single featuring a dub mix of “Hang Up,” the album opener and the record’s first single, on Record Store Day.
