[tweetmeme]Following up last fall’s initial spurt of shows in the U.K. and France, The Jesus and Mary Chain today announced nine North American concerts at which the band will perform its 1985 noise-pop debut Psychocandy as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of that album.
According to Pitchfork, those dates open May in Toronto and include the previously announced appearance at the Austin Psych Fest’s three-day Levitation festival in Texas. See full dates below.
The North American dates will follow a recently announced nine-date U.K. run in February. The band previously has promised “2015 will see a year of activity for the 30th anniversary of Psychocandy.”
