[tweetmeme]The Jesus and Mary Chain will play a special “low key” concert in Dublin on Thursday as the brothers Reid rehearse in the Irish capital for their upcoming tour dates — including their November U.K. concerts that will see full performances of the band’s 1985 debut Psychocandy.
According to a post on the band’s official site announcing the “secret” gig at Dublin’s Vicar Street, those Psychocandy dates are just the beginning: “2015 will see a year of activity for the 30th anniversary of Psychocandy. More news soon.”
Following the Dublin date, the Mary Chain is set to perform Saturday at the Off Festival in Poland. Another festival appearance is scheduled for November, in Paris, ahead of the U.K. run
As of Sunday night, tickets remained available for Thursday’s Dublin concert.
